Referred to as the No. 2 Old Army, gun features a six shot non-fluted cylinder, tip up frame, octagon barrel, blue finish, case color hammer, saw handle, two piece rosewood grips. CONDITION: Frame has flashes of blue with razor sharp markings, with the balance typical soft grey appearance. Colors have darkened. Grips excellent to near mint with most original finish. Good action, tight lock up, strong bore with light black powder residue. This was one of the most popular handguns privately purchased by soldiers going off to war, this is a beautiful, as found, no nonsense, never cleaned example that is solid.
