Lot consists of: Gun (A) Colt Police Positive Double Action Revolver manufactured in 1929. Features six shot fluted cylinder, double action, blue finish with Colt stylized C black composite grips. CONDITION: Gun is in extremely nice condition. Gun does have some high edge wear and there is some wear at the muzzle reaching towards the breech. Retains 95% original factory high polish, nearly all of the fire blue finish on back of hammer and sides of trigger. Fragile grips are near mint. Indexes and locks up perfectly. Would be a nice clean bore with the exception of a bulge in the barrel directly behind the front sight, visible both externally and internally. Which is a testament to the strength of these revolvers. Comes with a nifty little Audley safety holster. Gun (B) Ruger Single Six revolver. Referred to as the flat gate variation, it is the earliest form of the Single Six revolver and sometimes called the New Lightweight model with aluminum cylinder and frame, introduced April 1st, 1956. Production started at serial number 200000 and ceased in mid-1958 at serial number 212430. Production only lasted two years. All lightweights were fitted with 4-3/4" barrels. Cataloged as the LWAC which indicated an aluminum cylinder and frame. Also referred to as the tri-color lightweight model variant 1. Features a bronze colored cylinder, blue black barrel, trigger guard, and backstrap with Ruger standard plastic grips. The tricolor Variation I is the most desirable of this model. A very rare variation of a very rare gun only made for two years. CONDITION: There is some blue wear on left side of barrel, approximately 1 - 1/2", blue wear on ejector rod housing, some black finish bubbling on the forward area of trigger guard as the finish is a sort of black enamel and a couple minor handling marks. Still an extremely fine example of an incredibly rare, early, Ruger seldom seen tricolor.
