Features octagon barrel, blued finish, brass straps. Matching serial numbers on frame, barrel, buttstrap, cylinder, cylinder pin, loading lever and wedge. Cylinder has the roll engraved stagecoach scene. Engraved on the butt "DON WATSON". CONDITION: Revolver retains approximately 75-80% of the old reapplied blued finish, done long ago with patina shining through. No visible case colors. Cylinder retains 90% with original nipples; safety pins gone. Trigger guard shows some original nickel plating under the guard, otherwise brass is all mellow. Excellent grips. Indexes and locks up fine. Strong, clean bore with some usual black powder abrasion. We can find no information on Don Watson. Good example of a Civil War era presentation Colt.
