2,028 Marlin Marauder carbines were manufactured in .35 Remington from 1962 to 1964 only. They were basically a factory shortened carbine, everything else being standard. Features sporting sights, full magazine, twin bands, blued finish, gold trigger, walnut straight stock, rear sling eye and black composite buttplate. CONDITION: 99% blue on barrel, tube and bands with just a hint of muzzle wear. The frame has a few handling marks and a touch of high edge wear. Stocks are near mint. There is a 3/4" hairline crack on the right side of forearm, forward of barrel band; could easily be fixed.
Bore and action are near mint. This is a very short-lived rifle rarely seen today that found many fans in both hunters and police officers but the accolades came too little too late to save the Marauder in the Marlin line-up. Still one of the shortest, lightest deep woods carbines one could purchase. When you see it and handle it, you will know why they have become so popular.
