A total production of around 8,000 Model 1931 Beretta pistols with most all going to the Italian Navy. This rare commercial variation is considered by many to be the rarest of Italian pistols. The Model 1931 was a transitional production between the 1923 and the 1934. Little is known about the commercially sold variations as the production was slotted for the Italian Royal Navy. This example was produced in 1933 and is commercially proofed with no military acceptance proofs or markings. Two piece walnut grips with coin finished Beretta monograms and lanyard loop. Magazine is equipped with finger rest. CONDITION: Very good overall with over 95% factory applied blue finish remaining. High point finish loss with slight spotting on right side of frame and slide. Bore is very good. Matching numbers are found on slide barrel and frame.
