The Model 27-2 was the last of the old style top of the line Smith & Wesson .357 Magnums. The tradition had started before the war with the now famous Registered Magnum which eventually became the Model 27. You can argue with Python fans as to which is the better of the two guns, but the robust N frame can withstand more punishment than its smaller frame counterpart. Built on the three square square butt N target frame, full matte rib, Patridge front sight, blue target sight, case colored target trigger and hammer, factory nickel finish, and large rosewood checkered medallion target stocks makes this gun one of the most handsome profiles. CONDITION: Gun has been shot. Cylinder face shows some burn and there is a drag line but whoever shot it took good care as it retains virtually all of the original nickel finish. Comes in period mahogany box, but box is disintegrating and gun should not be placed inside unless relined.
