Manufactured in 1902. Fitted with a 26" full octagon barrel and full length magazine. Select nicely figured two piece American walnut stock with crescent butt plate. Case colored hammer, lever and buttplate. Very desired takedown feature. Sporting blade front sight with nickel silver blade and elevation adjustable rear sight. Chambered for the .38-55 Winchester cartridge. CONDITION: Very fine with over 95% bright blue remaining on barrel and magazine tube. The receiver has slight high point and edge wear with over 85% bright factory blue remaining. The select American walnut stocks are exceptional with most all of the factory applied finish remaining. The bore is outstanding, bright and shiny with sharp lands and grooves. The case colors on the hammer and lever are bright and vivid. The buttplate has silvered out with age. Action functions properly and locks up tight. A very fine, early example of the takedown '94 rifle.
