1884 Model Trapdoor with breech block dated 1873 and a stock cartouche of "SWP" and dated 1886. Blued barrel with front blade sight and Buffington rear sight. Steel cleaning rod. Undated US Springfield marked lock and US buttplate. Barrel fitted for socket type bayonet. CONDITION: Barrel retains 80% original blue with a dark but shootable bore. Barrel has sharp markings with some handling scratches. Breech block has 70% original case. Lock has 70% blue with wear at the corners. Barrel bands, buttplate and trigger guard retain 60% blue with balance turning a silvery patina. Mechanically sound and functions fine.
