Produced in 1978 for the United States Historical Society of Richmond, Virginia. A limited production of 1,000 sets were produced and the sets include two matching .41 caliber percussion "Derringer" pistols with sprue cutting mold, loading tool, silvered metal mechanical flask, turnscrew and nipple wrench. All fitted into velvet lined book casing bound in leather and printed in gold leaf "DERINGER" on cover and same on spine. These pistols are properly browned like the originals with case colored hammers and silver plated furniture. Well figured walnut stocks with appropriate checkering. Numbered 495A and 495B on barrels. CONDITION: Very fine with little evidence of handling and obviously never fired. The exterior of the book casing has some slight discoloration at edges but probably could be cleaned.
