Made in 1918. 3rd Model Winchester Model 1873 rifle with a round barrel and full magazine. Blade front sight with elevated rear sight. Walnut plain stock with crescent steel buttplate with door for cleaning rod storage. Stamped star with "R" under it, possibly ranch logo or company. CONDITION: Barrel has turned a silvery patina with address barely visible from carry wear. Caliber barrel marking is visible. Bore is poor with visible traces of rifling. Small ding in magazine tube. Action has turned a silvery patina with some light pitting. Hammer and rear sight are probably replacements. Wood has heavy usage marks with no cracks or splits. Mechanically solid and functions fine.
