Made in 1889, this lot features a 3rd Model Winchester 1873 rifle with round barrel and full magazine. Blade front sight with elevated rear sight. Blued action with serrated dust cover. Walnut wood stock with crescent steel buttplate. Brass elevator with caliber marking. CONDITION: Barrel has turned to plum with light speckling. Caliber and barrel address are faintly visible and bore is dark with faint rifling. Action has turned plum with speckling and handling wear. Wood has usage marks and dings with traces of original varnish. Gun has seen heavy use but is mechanically solid.
