Made in 1904, this lot features a Winchester 1892 rifle with shorter than standard length octagon barrel. Blued barrel with full magazine tube and blued receiver. Sheared blade front sight and 22G style rear elevated sight. Walnut wood rifle buttstock with crescent steel butt. Rifle style forearm with steel forearm cap. CONDITION: Gun has seen extremely hard use with wood having missing chips out of forearm and along the wrist. Metal is worn to a brownish silver with sharp edges worn round. Bore is shootable. Mechanics are good. Possible modified rifle that has had an extremely rough life. If it could only talk!
