This revolver is standard configuration. CONDITION: The barrel is mostly smooth brown with traces of original factory bluing in the gullets. Lever with faint traces of case hardening in protected area. Some bright bluing remaining on barrel where protected by the lever. Cylinder with readable scene, no finish. Frame with no finish, but smooth throughout. Excellent markings on barrel and frame. Backstrap with some minor pitting. Trigger guard with little wear. Grips are heavily worn, especially at butt, but are full dimension and original to the gun. Unnumbered wedge does not match the rest of the gun, which has all matching numbers. The wedge screw has been replaced with a Dixie Gun Works screw. Bore is good with strong rifling and very little pitting. Action is crisp. A good example of a late 1860 Army revolver that have may have seen service on the Western Frontier.
