Lot features a Pattern 1917 Enfield rifle made by Winchester and having a barrel date of "2-18". Military finished Winchester marked barrel and flaming bomb marked action. Winchester marked bolt, front sight, upper barrel band and trigger guard. Full wood military stock marked with a "E" on the end for Eddystone and top wood marked with a "R" for Remington. Eddystone marked floorplate release. Comes with 1917 dated bayonet with "US" and flaming bomb mark manufactured by Remington, leather military sling and unmarked signalling mirror. CONDITION: Barrel retains 80% original military finish with bolt worn to a silvery patina. Bore is excellent and very shootable. Wood has been cleaned with visible cartouches and light handling marks. Bayonet has original military finish and is missing the sheath. Sling is oil soaked and intact. Mechanically sound and functions fine.
