Springfield 1903 Model bolt action rifle made by Remington with a "SA" marked barrel dated 10-42. Barrel has original dark military finish with with "US" marked hooded front sight and graduated rear sight. Bolt has correct "R" markings. Wood full military stock with 1903 handguard and "C" stock buttstock with lined trap buttplate. Milled 03 style trigger guard. Comes with 1905 16" bayonet marked "SA" and dated 1919 and woven light colored sling. CONDITION: Barrel has 80% dark military finish with an excellent bore. TE reading: 2. ME reading: 2. Wood has been cleaned and and has probably been changed as is typical of World War II rebuilds. Bayonet is missing sheath but has not been molested in any way. Excellent mechanics and functions fine.
