Frame built in 1936. Barrel stamped HS for High Standard and dated 10-44 with Ordnance Bomb. This is your typical World War II parts rebuild where the frame from an earlier rifle was matched up with a replacement mid-war barrel. World War II two bolt scant stock was installed. Retains all pre-war milled parts. There are no cartouches on replacement stock, only letter "A". High Standard barrel retains all of its finish. CONDITION: Frame is basically grey patina. Wood is in excellent condition with normal bumps and bruises. ME reading: 2. TE reading: 2.75. Finish thinning on floor plate and trigger guard. Has a Boyt World War II 1942 dated sling. Comes in an old CMP shipping box.
