According to the factory letter, No. 286228 was sent at a blue, 5-1/2" .45 caliber to Smith's Sporting Goods, Tuscon, Territory of Arizona November 23rd, 1906 in a six gun shipment. CONDITION: Gun has seen some hard use. No original finish. All legends readable. Left side of frame has some severe pitting, as does backstrap and some on right side of frame. Overall lightly pitted surface on balance of gun. Original period grips have chip on left panel. Indexes and locks up correctly. Bore is gone. Comes in a period quality holster.
