Lot consists of: Two Russian Izhevsk Mosin Nagant rifles. Gun (A) Receiver is dated 1915 and shows obliterated remnant of Cossack eagle. Matching numbers include receiver and barrel. Barrel is import marked on right side. Cleaning rod present. CONDITION: Metal components retain 90% factory applied finish with edge wear on floorplate and hex receiver edges. Muzzle shows light wear. Wood retains most of factory applied varnish, showing light scattered handling marks. Small crack on top of top rear of hand guard. Bore is excellent and has strong rifling throughout. Excellent mechanical function. Gun (B) Receiver is marked 1941. Left side of receiver is import stamped. Matching numbers include receiver, bolt, and floorplate. Cleaning rod present. CONDITION: Metal components retain virtually all factory applied finish with the exception of minor loss of finish on forward hand guard. Wood is near mint and shows little to no use with only a few small indentations. Mirror bore with sharp rifling. Mechanical function is smooth and as new. MW
