Factory research states serial number 238300 was shipped on October 24th, 1904 as a .30 caliber rifle with and octagon barrel measuring 22".
This is one of the scarcest barrel lengths for a short rifle as the majority were 20", making this an extremely rare gun. Features front sight with silver post, rear sight of standard form and full magazine rifle butt. CONDITION: The action of this short barreled rifle is mostly patinated metal with faint traces of original finish and no significant pitting. The barrel with traces of original finish mostly brown but with excellent markings. Magazine tube and barrel match in condition. Action is crisp. Bore is fair. Forend with old refinish, of which little remains. Buttstock with old refinish and some fill. Buttplate slightly proud of stock on left side and brown patina. A good example of the 1894 and would likely make a good shooter.
