The Model 49 is referred to as "The Bodyguard". It is a five shot, three screw, fluted cylinder, double action, built on the round butt JS frame with case colored hammer and Smith & Wesson checkered walnut grips. Hammer is visible but shrouded. Introduced in 1959, with this example manufactured in 1981. CONDITION: Aside from a light drag line, gun is near new inside and out in proper style box with paperwork and no end label.
