This particularly interesting example as it has a spurred trigger guard. Barrel is marked "J. STEVENS, CHICOPEE FALLS MASS." CONDITION: Barrel retains most of the original bluing. The original front and rear sights have been replaced with a period scope. Optics on scope are fairly clear. The nickel plated brass frame retains most of its original finish with only minor bubbling on sideplate. Hammer has traces of bright bluing on sides. Checkered trigger has no original finish. Checkered walnut grips are good but have no original finish. Backstrap has hole drilled and tapped for a different type of stock. Bore is bright. Stock with this pistol serial numbered 64 and has most of its original nickel. An attractive period Stevens Target rig and most unusual with period scope. CORRECTION: This is a Stevens Medium Frame New Model Pocket Rifle 2nd Issue, produced from 1875 to 1896; making this an antique firearm and not Curio & Relic.
