Five screw variation with 8-3/8" barrel with checkered rib and frame top. "S" series serial number manufactured between 1950 and 1951. Blue finish with Smith & Wesson medallion target stocks and cased in appropriate mahogany Smith & Wesson wood presentation box with proper instruction manuals. Condition: Very good as factory refinished. Factory "Star" marking on butt as well as two factory return dates under the left grip of 5-73 and 3-56. Bore is excellent bright and shiny with sharp lands and grooves, chambers are equally fine. Action is crisp and functions properly. Grips are as new. Virtually all the factory reapplied finish is intact. Case is very good but interior liners are soiled and cracking and need to be replaced.
