Factory letter states that this revolver shipped July 29th, 1916 to the Canadian Government. This was fairly early on in World War I when all of England's colonies were at war with the Central Powers. Referred to as the Mark II Hand Ejector and features six shot fluted cylinder, double action, built on the square butt N frame with five screws, 6-1/2" round pinned barrel, proper period gold medallion diamond checkered walnut grips, with matching number pencil marked on right panel. Case colored hammer, trigger, and lanyard ring. Cylinder is untrimmed and features a matching serial number. Barrel also matches. Has half moon round fixed front sight. CONDITION: Cylinder has drag line and overall high edge wear, as does the high points of frame with some minor flaking on left and right sides and front strap. Barrel has a hint of muzzle wear. Still a solid 95% all original finish gun that has but one military mark, which is a Crown/30 stamp on butt. Finished in commercial style with high polish blue finish. Insides are like new. Grips are excellent. A total of 14,500 of these commercial hand ejectors were made for the Canadian service.
