Factory letter states this revolver shipped October 22nd, 1954 to Stratton, located in New Orleans, Louisiana as a .357 Magnum with 5" barrel. Referred to as the Pre-Model 27, built on the N target frame. Features Baughman front sight, adjustable rear sight, pinned barrel, five screw, recessed chambers, case colored trigger and hammer, six shot, double action, and large silver medallion diamond checkered walnut target grips. Matching serial numbers on barrel, cylinder and frame. CONDITION: There is a hint of light muzzle wear, light drag line, minor high edge cylinder wear, a couple handling marks on the trigger guard and a couple of very minor age spots on right side of frame; still a good 95% or better all factory original high polish in a very hard to come by 5" barrel length.
