Also referred to as the Model of 1950 .44 Target and the Pre-Model 24. Introduced in September 1950 as a double action revolver built on the sqaure butt N frame with five screws and pinned barrel. Standard length was 6-1/2", all 4" examples are considered very scarce. Comes standard with the Baughman red ramp front sight and adjustable target rear sight. Features case colored ahmmer and trigger, six shot, fluted cylinder, factory blue finish and silver medallion diamond checkered Coke bottle walnut grips with black disc. Factory letter states this revolver shipped December 14th, 1954 to H.H. Harris, Chicago, Illinois with red insert front sight, 4" barrel, rosewood target sights (grips), and bright finish. Grips are neither target, nor are they rosewood. CONDITION: Cylinder has light drag line. There are a couple minor handling marks, still retains 97% overall. Near new inside. Extremely difficult revolver to find with this barrel length in any condition, let alone this nice.
