Typical late carbine, with 20" barrel, turned down and swept bolt handle, full length stock, Monte Carlo comb with large swept cheekpiece, and tang safety, along with usual metal forend cap, bail type front sling loop, and double set triggers. Usual markings on receiver ring and left side of action, 1965 nitro proofs on barrel and action. Rear sight base is stamped "Akah" on right side, and barrel is stamped "On M 3170 Stlf3" (significance unknown). Full length stock is of attractively fiddle figured European walnut and has white line spacers for composition grip cap and buttplate, along with standard checkering. Weight: 7 lbs 10 oz. CONDITION: Excellent. Metal parts retain over 95% original blue with some light rust staining around rear sight. Stock retains nearly all its original finish with some light handling marks. Bore is excellent. This carbine could use a good cleaning. MGM 87
