Offered is a nice, all original 1873 rifle with features including 1873 rear sight stamped "R", headless screws, two bands and swivels, and two piece trigger guard. "VP" proof on left side of barrel. Lock is not dated with Eagle. The cartouche is visible but not readable. Cursive "P" on bottom of wrist. Block stamped "US MODEL 1873". CONDITION: Barrel is a smooth patina. Case colors have darkened. Walnut stock is fine with just usual handling marks and some added finish. Very good bore. Comes with a period original leather sling with single brass hook and two keepers.
