This is an excellent all original example of a 1903 Springfield. The barrel is dated 12-14 and rifle was built 1915. Correct features include high hump handguard; wide finger groove, single stock bolt walnut stock; straight bolt, fine checkered trapdoor buttplate, and all milled parts. Walnut stock has visible "JSA" cartouche. CONDITION: Excellent, with sharp legends. Wood is excellent with just some minor marks. Barrel and frame are a soft blue drifting patina. Has a strong but dull bore. Comes with period sling. Very nice pre-war Springfield rifle.
