The barrel and action were built in 1933 and rifle sometime later received a pistol grip A1 stock. Stock has the inspector stamp "SA GAW" for Sam Woody who worked there from 1929 through the second World War. The Ordnance wheel is stamped on stock as well as proof block letter "P" with seriffs. Barrel is dated 1-33. Features fully checkered buttplate, matte blue-black finish, and all milled parts. Sight knobs are checked but only small knob has the groove. CONDITION: Finish remains at a solid 90%. Comes with leather sling. A nice, mid-1930's A1 stocked and ready to shoot Springfield. Some of the best Springfields ever made.
