1906 American Eagle Luger. Features include; Short frame, round pencil barrel with dovetailed inverted V front sight, V notch rear sight on rear toggle link. Wide grip safety. Walnut checkered grips. Eight round detachable box magazine. The gun is all matching but the grips. Fair bore showing good lands and grooves. Modern replacement walnut grips are minty with sharp checkering showing just a bit of wear. CONDITION: Gun retains approximately 75% of the original rust blue finish and 25% of the original straw color. Blue is thinning on the barrel and shows high edge wear The original tin magazine is in fair shape. American Eagle above the chamber and "DWM" in scroll on the center toggle link. The extractor is marked loaded. Barrel has a circle B Brazilian proof mark on it and is BUG proofed. On page 166 of World of Lugers, it explains that it was used on some 1906 commercial DWM barrels.
