The .32-20 was introduced in 1884 making the production run of .32 WCF blackpowder frame guns a mere 14 years. The short barrel .32 WCF is particularly difficult to find. Matching serial numbers on frame, trigger guard, and backstrap. Type II ejector head and Type I hammer. Two line Colt barrel address. Two line frame patent date with Colt Pony. Colt gutta-percha grips sans eagle. Barrel stamped 32. CONDITION: Barrel retains approximately 50-60% of the bright Colt factory blue with razor sharp legends, front sight has been shaved down a tad, frame has some nice traces of case colors at forward section, balance simply darkened. Cylinder is basically a soft, smooth patina. Flashes of original blue on straps. Generous traces of color on hammer. 50% of the original nitre blue still on screws, which are fairly true. All four Colt clicks, indexes and locks up like new, strong sharp lands and grooves with some minor black powder residue in barrel. An extremely sharp and well cared for scarce antique Colt.
