Offered is a scarce 4-3/4" .32 WCF revolver that was shipped with four other guns June 3rd, 1908 to one of Colt's largest Midwest distributors - Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett, and Co., Chicago. Factory letter lists this revolver as a .32 WCF revolver, 4-3/4" barrel, blue finish, and unlisted grips, which was common practice if the grips were standard for the period, which these are. Matching serial number on frame, trigger guard, backstrap. Barrel has razor sharp two line address, as well as caliber marking. Frame has two line patent with Colt Pony. Sports standard two piece gutta-percha grips sans eagle, both scratched with matching numbers. CONDITION: Barrel retains 75% of original blue, balance turning to silver patina. Cylinder has flashes of blue with generous amount in flutes, balance grey patina. Smooth and clean. Frame has flashes of color in forward recess of frame, balance soft patina. Grips are excellent with no cracks or chips and fit perfectly. Flashes of fire blue on true screws. Bore exhibits sharp, clean, lands and grooves. All four Colt clicks, indexes and locks up like a bank vault. A beautiful, scarce, 1st Generation .32 WCF revolver.
