(Circa 1962) This well made gun has 26" demi-bloc barrels fitted with matted, ventilated rib. Spanish nitro proofs are on bottom barrel. Coin finished, scallop-backed, double Kersten OU boxlock action features automatic safety, and double triggers (front articulated). Action is engraved with 90% coverage scroll within geometric borders surrounding game scenes; a setter points a pair of birds on left side, while a pointer points a flushing duck on right. A lion (?) is part of AYA logo on trigger plate. Makers name is on bottom of action. AYA logo is in gold on blued top lever, and single beaded blued trigger guard has serial number on tang. Lightly figured and nicely marbled European walnut straight grip buttstock measures 14-1/4" over ribbed composition buttplate. Stock also features fluted drop points and well cut, closely spaced, point pattern checkering at grip. Matching three piece ejector forend has Deeley release. CONDITION: Excellent, appears very lightly used, retaining over 95% all metal finishes, with only a few light marks in original finish of wood. Bores are excellent. Mechanically excellent. A very presentable gun from the '60's. MGM 53.
