The 1972 factory letter states that this rifle was shipped July 11th, 1894, with an octagon barrel, plain trigger, in caliber .45-90. Other features include full magazine, German silver front sight, semi-buckhorn rear sight, case color frame, lever, and hammer, walnut stocks, and rifle butt. CONDITION: Barrel and tube retain approximately 85% original factory blue with brown patina starting to show through. Razor sharp edges and legends. Bolt retains 99% original high polish blue. Left side of frame retains approximately 85% case colors, some bright. Right side of frame is a bit better and brighter. 95% bright blue on loading gate. Strong case colors on sides of hammer and lever. Forearm cap and buttplate have patterned out. Stocks are excellent, proud to metal. No cracks or chips. Bottom of frame and lever have turned patina. Fine action. Mirror bore.
