Consignor's notes indicate that this action and rifle were made by L. Harriman of Bowling Green, Ohio, following original Borchardt design, but with improvements. This action, serial number "8", has forged steel operating lever of Borchardt type. Safety consists of a transverse button locking trigger. Action is fitted with 24-1/8" tapered round barrel fitted with scope blocks which mounts a 20x Davis optical Spot-Shot target scope in micrometer rings. Schuetzen buttstock with high right hand cheekpiece and Swiss butt is of stump figured American walnut. Point pattern checkering is on grip. Matching schnabeled forend has ebony tip. CONDITION: Excellent, showing little use, with only some minor nicks and dings in wood. Older scope is very fine to excellent, with some marks and scratches. Optically clear.
