Consignor's notes indicate that this action and rifle were made by L. Harriman of Bowling Green, Ohio, following original Borchardt design, but with improvements. This action, serial number '6', is marked on the bottom "LRH 6 '68", and has forged steel operating lever of Borchardt type. Safety consists of a transverse button locking trigger. Action is fitted with 26" tapered round barrel fitted with scope blocks which mounts interesting home made (?) 6x target scope in micrometer rings. Schuetzen buttstock with high right hand cheekpiece and Swiss butt is of stump figured American walnut. Point pattern checkering is on grip. Matching schnabeled forend has ebony tip. CONDITION: Excellent, showing little use, with only some minor nicks and dings in wood. Scope is fine, unfinished, optically clear. PROVENANCE: Estate Collection of Francis Brown. MGM 81.
