Pope barrel number is 1419 and the code is "20/141". Face of action marked 52. Action is 44 - 1/2 and scroll engraved, and fitted with double set triggers. Lever is of the type normally found on a type 54. Lever is nickel plated. Buttstock of fancy walnut is nicely checkered and fitted with a typical buttplate for this model. Stevens forearm is of the two screw style, nicely checkered, showing very little wear. Stevens-Pope barrel is 30" long, #4 weight, half octagon, and breech loading only. The front sight is a globe style, rear is a Stevens-Pope Pope tang sight. Scope is a Stevens scope, #368. CONDITION: Most of case colors are brilliant on action. Action lever has a few small chips in the nickel. Buttplate still shows most of the original case color. Virtually all of the buttstock varnish remains with a few minor handling marks, most notable is a small chip on cheekpiece. Scope shows considerable handling with fairly thin bluing. TR
