Case colored action with double set triggers and nickel plated Pope lever. Face of the action is marked with a "52" and "P" for Pope model. Buttstock is fancy walnut fitted with correct buttplate, nickel plated. Stevens forearm with very fancy checkering is a two screw design and fitted with a Stevens-Pope palm rest. Barrel is stamped "P" with Pope barrel number 757 and Pope code "13/1.14". 32" full octagon barrel with #4 weight. Barrel has a dovetail for a spirit level. Correctly numbered false muzzle and starter remain with gun. Globe front, Stevens-Pope rear. Scope is a Lyman 5A telescopic sight. The Stevens-Pope is not on the top flat, instead the next one over. CONDITION: Case colors on action are present but considerably faded. Buttplate has some loss of nickel at end of prongs. Barrel has most of the bluing except for on the edges and on bottom flat, presumably where it was rested for use. Action is good, bore is dirty but excellent. A fine, clean example. TR
