Features full blued round barrel, single band, post front sight, Lawrence ladder rear sight, original saddle ring and bar, walnut stock. Metal has numerous military inspector stamps. Fine "DFC" (David Clark) ribbon on left side of stock and "EF" in cartouche box on left side above saddle ring bar. CONDITION: Barrel retains 75-80% original finish with a small spot of salt and pepper freckling behind rear sight. Frame has approximately 30% original case colors. There are a couple of hairlines on left side of stock at lower butt. Stock has no patchbox. Fine action. Strong, clean bore. These were used during the Civil War, converted, and then used on the Western Frontier. This one is in far above average condition.
