This mid-19th century or later heavy barrel percussion half stock bears no maker name. "WARRANTED" can still be read on the lockplate. No maker name on the heavy barrel. Features full buckhorn rear sight, German silver blade front sight, one piece walnut halfstock, period oak rod, pewter forend tip and double set trigger. CONDITION: All metal is a smooth, homogeneous, rich, dark brown patina with sharp edges. Wood was freshened up at one time; good fit and does not appear to have been sanded. Tack decoration on left butt and large "A" on left side. Strong rifled bore with light abrasion.
