Mills Novelty Co. of Chicago started manufacturing these viewers in 1903. This specimen is in original condition and has a factory sticker on the inside of the door that shows this is Serial No. 337 and was inspected in 1906. There are several extra photograph cards inside as well as the original cylindrical iron cash box. The cabinet is oak with gorgeous grain on the front door. The cast iron, claw foot legs, handles and viewing port have a period copper finish. The marquee is an aluminum reproduction and matches pretty well. Included are rare stereographs of the Old West, including a cowboy lynching, titled "A Necktie Party." One key is provided.
