This revolver was manufactured from 1865-1868. Features real ivory bird's head grips, five shot fluted cylinder, and spur trigger. This revolver also features nickle plating with gold wash and exhibits nearly complete factory floral engraving. CONDITION: Traces of gold wash in cylinder flutes and rod. Retains 30-40% original factory nickle blending with smooth gun metal gray. Indexes and locks up fine with a clean bore. This revolver comes housed in a French fitted oak case. The engraving appears to be the work of L. D. Nimschke, 1850-1900, one of the most famous engravers of the 19th century.
