Manufactured in the late 1850's to early 1860's, the majority of production was for the United States Government. This is a rare, factory cased, civilian model. Features high polish factory blue finish, six shot, double action, case colored loading lever and hammer, one piece walnut grips, and fire blue screws. CONDITION: Sundry handling marks, some high edge wear, and some thinning to blue on cylinder; approximately 80% remaining. The only appreciable finish loss is the trigger guard is 50/50 and straps are grey patina. Overall gun remains at 90%. Razor sharp markings. Screws have most to all of their original high polish blue finish. Strong colors on hammer and lever. Stocks are near mint. Indexes correctly and locks up tight. Near mint bore. Comes in a period factory-type case with the original faded brown lining. Includes eagle flask, unmarked single cavity bullet mold, small cleaning rod, unmarked nipple wrench, cap tin, oil bottle, and a reproduction box of skins.
