Case colored thin wall action with single set trigger. Lever is also case colored. The replaced buttstock of fancy American walnut has a cheekpiece and pistol grip with cap. Helm pattern buttplate, also case colored. Forearm appears to be Winchester with an ebony insert, uncheckered. Barrel is 32" long, full octagon, number 4 weight. The action has a flat mainspring. No serial numbers or other marks on the barrel, with the exception of the 4 stamp indicating barrel weight. CONDITION: Overall excellent condition. Virtually all of the case color on the lever and action remains but is questionable as to its originality. May be recolored. Wood finish is excellent with just a couple of very minor handling marks. Barrel retains the majority of its blue. Fine bore and action. We believe that this rifle to be made up by someone with good talent. Would make an excellent shooter and is in very fine condition. TR
