This unusual action is fitted with a single trigger and a spur lever. It is marked serial number 12 and "LRH 1973" on the bottom of the action. It is highly polished and hot blued. Buttstock made of American walnut with fabulous grain is checkered, pistol grip, and has a cheekpiece. A brass buttplate, unplated, is fitted, although one screw is missing. Forearm is an elongated Stevens style, fitted with two screws, and checkered. Stock and forearm were made by Bill Buchle of Toledo, the famous muzzleloader maker. The barrel is 31 - 1/2" long, half octagon, marked for .257 Roberts, and features a high gloss blue finish. It is not drilled and tapped for a scope, nor are any iron sights fitted. Consignor states that this rifle is unfired. CONDITION: Lever has one small blemish of oxidation. Buttstock is dirty with a few mildew stains but would clean to nearly new. Barrel retains virtually all of its high polish. TR
