An excellent example of the original oil on canvas painting by Guy Head, titled Iris Carrying The Water Of The River Of Styx To Olympus For The Gods To Swear By. The original was crafted in 1793. Featured is Iris in her bare form, she is the messenger of Zeus, carrying a gold vase of water from the River of Styx. A small rainbow extends from her sides as she is the embodiment of the rainbow in Greek mythology. The print is slightly dull in color but is perfectly mounted in a gold finished frame.
