The basis for this rifle was a standard Stevens 47 with the 44-1/2 action. It was customized by J.E. Gebby, who relined the barrel to the .22-3000 cartridge and installed a ramp base for a target hooded interchangeable disc front sight. The breech of barrel is drilled with three holes to accept a scope mount. Rifle was never drilled for a rear sight. Original tang sight, lever action, walnut Schnabel forend, uncheckered pistol grip stock, and nickel plated Swiss style buttplate. CONDITION: 95-97% original factory blue on barrel. Frame colors have nickeled out with none remaining. Varnished walnut stocks are excellent with a few handling dings. Near mint bore and action. Beautiful rifle that only needs a scope. Should be one hell of a tack driver.
