The Second Model Americans were from 1872-1874. This example has matching serial numbers on frame and grips. The back of the cylinder, barrel, and latch are stamped "&451", which would be assembly numbers. It is factory nickel plated with razor sharp legends. Grips are walnut two piece. CONDITION: There is some brown patina on both sides of breech of barrel, some light muzzle wear loss, and some freckling under the rib near breech on both sides. Still retains approximately 85% original factory nickel. The frame retains approximately 95% original nickel with a few flakes. Cylinder shows some brown toning in flutes, light flaking at forward of cylinders, and a bit of age freckling. Even straps retain the majority of the original nickel, as does trigger guard. Grips are near mint. Revolver indexes and locks up like new, bore is near mint with a hint of frosting. This is a good solid all matching 85-90% American.
