The New Model Navy revolver was manufactured 1863 to 1878. This revolver was factory engraved and converted, probably by an outside source as the web was removed and a unique system was utilized, not typically found in a non-factory type conversion. It is a very interesting type conversion, extremely handsome without the ungainly web. Silver plated after the conversion. Features six shot, single action, and standard two piece walnut grips. CONDITION: Retains approximately 90% of the post-conversion silver finish. There is some loss of finish and light salt and pepper on top of barrel flat slightly obscuring some markings. Trigger guard has traces of plating. Grips are very good to excellent. Locks up and indexes correctly. Strong rifled bore with very light black powder abrasion. A very handsome 1870's revolver, the first of this type we have seen.
