This special order model 1873 Winchester features a full round barrel, special order button magazine, special order case colored receiver with case colored lever and hammer, rifle butt, walnut stocks, knife blade front sight, Winchester semi-buckhorn rear sight. Factory research confirms configuration of rifle and indicates this rifle was shipped October 30th, 1888. CONDITION: Legends are sharp as new and the finish has muted to a soft brown patina, mixed with areas of light blue. Case colors on frame have basically nickeled out, mixed with some soft patina. Same can be said for colors on hammer and lever. Wood is excellent, buttplate is grey patina with some age freckling. Action is fine. Bore exhibits strong lands and grooves.
